La Terrazza

La Terrazza is the largest and most luxurious of the apartments. It is on the top (second) floor and has the advantage of roof terraces with spectacular panoramic views of the Adriatic and the old town area, dominated by the great cathedral and monastery. The townscape looks particularly dramatic when illuminated at night. You can even look down on the lofty statue of Saint Oronzo, Ostuni’s patron saint, on top of his column overlooking the Piazza. Local people say we have one of the best views in Ostuni.

This apartment has a large open-plan air-conditioned living room leading into a kitchen-dining area. It has arched ceilings and is light and airy with three double glass French doors with shutters. There is a TV with DVD and video and a supply of English films and books, plus a radio/CD player. The air-conditioned kitchen is very well equipped with all utensils plus Smeg gas hob and electric fan oven, a fridge-freezer, a microwave oven and a washing machine, iron and ironing board. Washing can be dried outside on the top terrace and there is also a washing line over the bath. The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment, a WC, basin and bidet. A hairdryer is supplied.

There is a separate double bedroom with large double bed and integral air-conditioning; this has a second ensuite WC with basin and a free-standing cast iron bath. The apartment has gas central heating for winter. The living room area has three divans which can easily be converted into three single beds or a double and two singles. The flat is suitable for a couple, a couple with a baby (cot/playpen can be supplied on request), a couple with two or three children or a couple plus 2-3 friends. (NB: This apartment is NOT SUITABLE for children between ages 2-7 because the terraces are very high above the street and we could not ensure their safety).

The living room area leads onto the lower terrace which has a garden table and six chairs plus a sun umbrella. There is a simple barbecue and outside sink. The upper terrace, has a large washing line. Canvas chairs and loungers are supplied for use on the terrace.

We supply all bed linen and towels including beach towels.
